Batteries
Greatbatch Medical's lastest generation of implantable grade batteries are the result of decades of implantable battery research, development and manufacturing experience.
To meet customer-specific application requirements, we design and manufacture custom cells with unparalleled quality that provide years of reliable service.
To speed time to market, we also offer non-proprietary cells. These cells are built to the same exacting standards as our custom products and are easily incorporated into customer device designs.
Capacitors
Greatbatch Medical's proprietary Wet-Tantalum capacitors are ideally suited for implantable device applications delivering high voltage therapy and are available in customized shapes and sizes. Wet Tantalum capacitors have very high volumetric energy density compared to other capacitor chemistries resulting in a smaller capacitor for a given energy requirement. Wet Tantalum is also very efficient, requires little or no reformation, and has very low DC leakage all of which contribute to longer device life or lower battery capacity requirements.
Stimulation Leads
Greatbatch Medical's current product line of pacing leads is composed of permanent, sutureless, epicardial leads (MyoPore) and an innovative implant tool (FasTac). Greatbatch Medical offers both unipolar and bipolar models in a number of different lengths from 25cm to 54cm. This epicardial lead technology has been on the market since 1989 and continues to perform reliably after more than 20,000 implants worldwide.
Feedthroughs
Greatbatch is a leading developer and supplier of custom-designed hermetic feedthroughs for the implantable medical device industry.
Because feedthroughs carry device-circuitry current to the lead-delivery system implanted into the bodys vital organs, each feedthrough undergoes rigorous testing and inspection. This testing includes, insulation resistance, thermal shock, hermeticity, and critical dimension verification.
To rapidly address standard demand, Greatbatch makes available several non-proprietary feedthrough designs.

In our ISO-certified state-of-the-art facilities we provide the highest-quality components possible though machined, stamped, and molded parts that are tailor-designed and constructed for each project.
At Greatbatch Medical, achieving tolerances as close as +/-0.0001" on machined components, and overmolding parts as small as 1mm in diameter, is common. Our quality control and inspection assures customers that their parts are reliable and meet their specification so that parts can be shipped directly into customer stock.
